The 2008 NFL Draft will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City in 2008. For the 29th consecutive year, the draft will be televised on ESPN and ESPN2; the NFL Network will also broadcast coverage of the event, its third year doing so. The 2008 Draft is currently scheduled to have 254 draft selections: 222 regular selections in rounds one through seven (two selections were exercised in the 2007 NFL Supplemental Draft)[1] , plus 32 compensatory selections, distributed among rounds three through seven. ("Selection" is the official NFL term, although the more commonly-used term is "picks.") This will likely be the second draft presided over by current NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
