B major
Appearance
B major is a major scale based on B, consisting of the pitches B, C#, D#, E, F#, G#, A#, and B. Its key signature consists of five sharps.
Its relative minor is G-sharp minor. Its enharmonic equivalent is C-flat major, but neither key is often used as the main key for a composition.
The sharped pitches correspond to the black keys of the piano.
Note that in German, the pitch B is called "H," and correspondingly B major is called "H-Dur."
