Box.net is an online storage, file hosting, and file sharing service that allows individuals to access and share files online.
History
Box.net was founded in 2005 as a college business project, and launched officially in March 2006.[1] Box.net is based in Palo Alto, California, United States.
Whilst it is primarily a paid-for web service, a limited free plan is available, however this is feature- and storage- limited and has adverts.

Box.net has an API for developers, which is implemented via Vanilla XML.
