Gold medal – first place 1964 Tokyo 4x100m relay

Gerald ("Gerry") Howard Ashworth (born May 1, 1942) is a former American athlete, winner of the gold medal in the 4x100 m relay at the 1964 Summer Olympics.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Gerald Ashworth ran the second leg of the gold medal performance of the American 4x100 m relay team, which set a new world record of 39.0 at the Tokyo Olympics. Paul Drayton, Richard Stebbins and Bob Hayes ran the other legs.

He attended Dartmouth College.
