Whiteley has no pubs, no cinema, no library & no banks. I think a balanced article would mention this.

Except that it has a pub (Parsons Collar) and a (mobile) library. Have you ever visited?

I'm struck reading this article that it presents a very unbalanced view of this housing, business, and retail development. The Whitely development is not a town yet this article (which mostly reads like an estate agent's puffery) repeatedly refers to Whitely as a such. The area suffers significant transportation problems - isolated from the area around it, mostly dependent on a car-culture because of inherent infrastructure design (try accessing it by bicycle or on foot from the A27), and with only one major arterial road to it which has long traffic queues at peak morning and evening traffic times.

Much of the work by its residents to establish it as a community and to improve access has been done in the face of indifference or opposition (both developers and councils), an article which includes the history of this would be welcome and offer some balance. Some details on its establishment as a parish would not be amiss.
