Tissue paper or wrapping tissue is a type of thin, translucent paper used for wrapping and cushioning items.

Some shops wrap delicate merchandize in folded or crumpled layers of tissue paper to protect it before placing it in bags or boxes for the purchaser.

Other common uses of tissue paper:

  • To wrap gifts
  • To cushion and and prevent creases in clothing packed for travel or long-term storage
  • For printing of sewing patterns
