Helvetica is a feature-length independent documentary film about typography, graphic design, and global visual culture released in 2007 to coincide with the fiftieth anniversary of the titular typeface's introduction. It was directed by Gary Hustwit and is made up of a history of the typeface interspersed with candid interviews with leading graphic and type designers, such as Wim Crouwel. The film aims to show Helvetica's beauty and ubiquity, and illuminate the personalities that are behind typefaces.

The film was given a limited release, and toured around the world for screenings in selected venues, such as the SXSW festival.
