Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

Thanks for responding to my peer review request at Wikipedia:Peer review/Papal conclave, 1800. I have amended the article according to your critique. You mention other inaccuracies in the "Historical context" section - could you mention some of these at the peer review page. --Oldak Quill 22:55, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for helping out with my World War I Aviation article - I think the name needed to be changed! Thanks.
Radio mast articles
I am contacting you because you have contributed to the VfD discussion on radio mast articles. I just wanted to let you know that a proposal has been put forth at Wikipedia:Deletion policy/Masts to address these articles en masse. Your comments are welcome. --TenOfAllTrades (talk/contrib) 04:32, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I have responded on the talk page. Gazpacho 08:37, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
RedStar 2000
I am sorry for the "Red Star 2000"-article. I didn't mean to make it, I thought it was his user-page and he just hadn't wrote anything ;) But I still think he is a good man, and should have an article. It can just be added upon.--OleMurder 22:53, 17 May 2005 (UTC)
Meigs
Nice job of cleanup on this article; thanks! I was hoping to do it myself, but hadn't yet found the time. RussBlau 18:10, May 20, 2005 (UTC)
- You're welcome. If you have additional time, you might check out the copyright status of the original text. I'm not convinced that the general cleanup I did was sufficient to eliminate any IP claims, but don't know where the material came from in the first place. Hal Jespersen 18:19, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
Stub Categories
Hey, Thanks for the heads up! Using more specific stub categories will make sure the article gets the attention it deserves. Nice work on the article too. best, TitaniumDreads 09:17, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the note re: stubs on Battle of Ngasaunggyan. I do try to categorize my stubs, but for some reason I couldn't at the moment get WP:SC to load up so after unsuccessfully guessing at a few, I gave up and knew that there would be somebody to fix it. We appreciate your efforts! - Bryan is Bantman 20:23, May 23, 2005 (UTC)
Stubs
"it would be great if you could use these more specific tags whenever possible"
No problem :)--Witkacy 22:19, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for your wiki-tips.--Youssef 12:01, 27 May 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I knew there was a comics stub, but I also knew there's a stub sorting project :) In any case, the comics people got ahold of it and made it into a much superior redirect. Thanks. -- 24.17.17.26 16:47, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Mr Stabby
I quote, for these are your words sir:
'To whoever edited this article: to say that one thing "influenced" a second implies that the first thing came before the second one. I don't believe it is possible that the Mr. Stabby webcomic, which appeared within the last decade, could have "influenced" the Psycho shower scene filmed in the 1950s.'
You are actually a moron aren't you. Please read the joke article, for it may help you to understand. I rest my case--131.111.8.96 16:06, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks, it's always nice to hear from my fans. But perhaps you have confused Wikipedia with Uncyclopedia, where your contributions undoubtedly will be most welcome. Russ Blau (talk) 16:12, Jun 3, 2005 (UTC)
No sir, I believe it is you who are confused--131.111.8.96 13:04, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Catullus
Hi. I moved all the Catullus stubs/articles that had to deal with poems to wikisource. Someone will need to go through and edit them so that all the links to regular wikipedia articles still work, but aside from that, the text translations on wikipedia itself can be deleted or whatever needs to be done to them. :) sophysduckling
Society of Yeager Scholars
Ive been away from the computer and have not had the opportunity to expand on the topic. It is a scholarship at Marshall University that has been helpful for expanding higher education in Appalachia. Rest assured that I am on it. Youngamerican 19:59, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Palestine
What did you mean about Palestine and Jordan? I keep getting confused about the distinction between the historical region and the nascent / imminent "State of Palestine" or whatever the politicians are talking about these days.
I can understand "we want it" but I'm having a harder time with "it was ours in the first place, so give it back". Anyway, I don't have a position on it. I just want to write neutrally about it. Oh, and I'd like to see peace in the entire region.
Cheers. -- Uncle Ed (talk) 18:51, Jun 11, 2005 (UTC)
I have had to fix several of your robo-disambig of Palestine. While iyt is useful to draw my attention to the fact that Palestine needs disambiguation, I find that the robot picks the wrong one to disambig each time. See [[Sidney Smith {admiral)] and Anglo-Iraqi War for a couple of examples. Dabbler 22:12, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Russbot
- Just had like a dozen of my articles cleaned up by Russbot fixing the German/Germany link, just wanted to drop a word of thanks to you (and your bot) for tidying things up for those of us who are so lazy we point to things we know will redirect ;) Sherurcij 23:59, Jun 20, 2005 (UTC)

poll
Poll There is a poll in the talk page of Macedonian Slavs article here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Macedonian_Slavs#The_poll
Some people are lobbying for changing the article's name to Macedonian without any qualifier. As it seems, a number of these people come from the Macedonian/Macedonian Slav wikipedia project. It seemed only fair to attract the attention of people possibly from the other side of the story. I hope that this message is of interest to you, if not please accept my apologies.
