Vegetative symptoms

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Mattisse (talk | contribs) at 22:19, 9 September 2007 (does not quite make sense - needs expert to sort it out since vegetative symptoms are what this article calls Reversed vegetative symptoms). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Reversed vegetative symptoms include only oversleeping (hypersomnia) and overeating (hyperphagia), as compared to insomnia and loss of appetite (vegetative symptoms). These features are typical in atypical depression (AD).

However, there have been studies [1] claiming that these symptoms alone are sufficient to diagnose the condition of AD.
