Rudolf Bayer

Rudolf Bayer is Professor (emerit.) of Informatics at the Technical University of Munich since 1972. He is famous for inventing the B-tree and later the UB-tree.

He is a recipient of 2001 ACM SIGMOD Edgar F. Codd Innovations Award.
