Centres for Seafarers
Appearance
Centres for Seafarers is an ecumenical collaboration between The Apostleship of the Sea, The British & International Sailors’ Society and The Mission to Seafarers. It is a registered UK charity formed in 2006.
It provides visiting seafarers a place to rest and relax and allow them time away from their ships whilst docked. Games, books, food and drink and also chaplains and a place to worship are available to visiting seafarers in many ports throughout the UK.
Locations
The charity has port chaplains and centres at various ports around the UK. It is currently expanding its coverage to more UK ports. Within the UK the charity currently has full presence at Southampton and Tilbury.
