Soul Eater is the third book in the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness written by Michelle Paver and first published in 2006. There will be six titles in total. It portrays outstanding loyalty and friendship, betrayal and power.
It's winter and Wolf, Torak's beloved pack-brother has been captured by an unknown foe. In a desperate bid to rescue him, Torak and Renn must brave the frozen wilderness of the Far North. As they battle for survival amid howling blizzards and the ever present menace fo the great white bear, their freindship is tested to the breaking point, and Torak is forced to get closer to his enemies than ever before...
Summary
While hunting with Renn and Wolf, Torak finds an Eagle Owl Feather, and object believed to be a terrible omen. Trying to ignore it; Torak, hesitantly decides not to show it to Renn and Wolf. Later, Wolf races off in pursuit a strange prey and mysteriously vanishes; soon afterwards Torak and Renn realize that Wolf has been captured in a net and taken north. Leaving a message to a passing hunting party to take to Fin-Keddinn, Torak and Renn leave in pursuit...
