Not wishful thinking...but taken from marvelwood.org under new student body:

"Many of the students who enrolled at Marvelwood had also considered Cheshire Academy, The Gunnery, Berkshire School, Forman School and Storm King School." -

Good grief! I'm sure some of those same students had "considered" Hotchkiss or Choate, only to be told they would be better suited for a school like Marvelwood. I hope you are not suggesting that since it's on Marvelwood's website, then it's what must be on a Wikipedia entry. The point in listing admissions rivals is not to include the other schools the Marvelwood student had considered, but which ones they were actually accepted at.

What you don't seem to realize is visitors to the Wikipedia site, such as consultants and prospective students and parents, ultimately see through this kind of chicanery. Hey, they can get it from Marvelwood's own propaganda machine. They probably thought they could come to Wikipedia for a different experience. Sadly, they will be disappointed if people like you have their way.

I was not implying that every piece of information on Marvelwood's website had to be on its Wikipedia entry - that would defeat the entire purpose of this endeavour. With that said, I do believe the school's website should act as a supplment to its Wikipedia entry because it's a credible source for information about the school - bottom line.

I think you missed the point about listing Marvelwood's admissions rivals on its Wikipedia entry. It has nothing to do with showing what other schools Marvelwood students had "considered" or as you put it, "were accepted at." It has more to do with showing what other schools are Marvelwood's peers.

Fair use rationale for Image:Marvelwood Seal.jpeg

Image:Marvelwood Seal.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
