whats your problem

why do u keep flagging my pages and not giving me a reason, geeez im only new u cood atleast calm down and not bite my head off —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryza12 (talkcontribs) 12:21, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The templates I placed on the pages in question (Chackers and Keagull\) both stated the reason I believe they should be deleted - to quote, It is a very short article providing little or no context (CSD A1) - as do the messages on your talk page. I appreciate that you are new, but even so I find it hard to believe that you though these pages would be acceptable on Wikipedia.
In order to help you acclimatise, I have now added a welcome box to your talk page which gives some useful links to get started. However, if you continue to create pages like those (I just saw that both of the ones I have mentioned have been deleted, along with a third you created), then you will be blocked by an administrator before very long. If you intend to contribute meaningfully to Wikipedia, now would be a good time to start doing so.

Removal of warnings

Hi there, just a little not to let you know that users are not forbidden from removing warnings. Indeed, that they do so is evidence that they've read them. Please see WP:USER#Removal of warnings. Thanks! — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 00:30, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you learn something every day. Thanks for pointing that policy out, I wasn't previously aware of it (though it does make sense). And since I haven't yet thanked you for doing so, thanks for reverting the vandalism on my user page.
Blair - Speak to me 00:35, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. In future, feel free to use {{subst:vangel}} on someone's talk page to thank them :) — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 00:48, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
teehee. My template is spreaing the wikilove among vandal hunters! — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 00:55, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- - Please explain exactly to me what is wrong with my page! Every single info can be checked easily —Preceding unsigned comment added by Da Animal (talkcontribs) 00:44, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Any articles about a musician / band / ensemble etc. must meet the notability guidelines in WP:MUSIC. Even if the information in the article can be verified, it does not mean that the subject is automatically notable.
Blair - Speak to me 00:51, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This guy worked with producers such as Timbaland or Just Blaze - this ain't notable? hard to believe —Preceding unsigned comment added by Da Animal (talkcontribs) 10:50, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Notability is not inherited. In order to be a valid article, the subject must have achieved a sufficient level of notability of their own accord (in this case, by achieving notability through his own releases rather than by who he hangs out with).
On a somewhat related note, in future could you please sign any comments you make on any talk page? All you need to do is place four tildes (~~~~) after any comments. This makes it easier to follow who said what and when.
Thanks, Blair - Speak to me 10:59, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New page patrol

Great work! I've seen you tag a few articles before I could get to them...keep it up :) Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 00:06, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :). You too. Blair - Speak to me 00:18, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Schools

Blair, please dont jump at people. Remember WP:BITE. The idea is to patiently get them to do it right. I've given some advice there, & it would in my opinion not be right to remove the page until the new user has a chance to read it and understand it & act accordingly; therefore I've declined the speedy as the reviewing admin. DGG (talk) 01:48, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(NB. This discussion comes from my speedying the article Using Film to Teach Literature and assosciated comments on User talk:Jsmira2).
OK, fair enough. The reason I placed the speedy tag again on the second incarnation of the page was because I was under the impression it was still intended to be a course content page. However, in hindsight this was a bit hasty. Thanks for clearing that up and helping the user to follow the proper procedures. Having seen the real intentions, it now has my full support.

Dicdefs aren't covered by CSD

Godverdomme 10:57, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've proposed it for AfD instead. And, as a side note, please don't remove speedy tags yourself (as you did with both Godverdomme [1] and Tammo Tachtig [2]. Instead use the {{hangon}} template to notify administrators you are contesting the speedy delete, and then place your reasoning on the articles talk page.
Thanks, Blair - Speak to me 11:19, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I removed the {{db-nocontext}} tag you placed on Chic Bates and clarified and categorised the article. Hope this is OK. CIreland 09:37, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thats fine, thanks for doing so. I've since updated the page a bit with a bit more detail re his managerial spells and an infobox. Blair - Speak to me 10:35, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No... you are misunderstood. I got permission via e-mail to use some of his bio on Wikipedia. Sean90 19:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good start, but you need to forward it to the Wikimedia foundation as outlined in WP:COPYREQ. This will allow them to tag the article appropriately so that it won't be deleted again.

Mr.Getcrunk

I have been a great fan of Mr.getcrunk for years.. And i clearly don't see anything wrong with the page i made for him, i don't know why you want to delete my page when it is sincere and true and there are all kinds of pages with perverted things on them that you can delete. I think that this is unfair and i will continue to debate and recreate my page until me and wikipedia come to an agreement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rasheewest (talkcontribs) 04:39, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the notability policy that Wikipedia has. As a warning, if you continue to recreate the page the most likely outcome is that you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

SmoothStream Band SmoothStream Band is not just a music band, it is one and only music band promoting mental health through a public health approach... Hi my page should not be deleted. It is 'one and only' music band in the world to promote mental health of migrants and refugees through music which is based on SmoothStream model - public health approach, which was presented and published two times in 2004 and 2006 in the International Health Conferences. Even though it is a music band it is so much different from other music bands in the sense that it is a registered Charitable Trust to promote mental health in migrants and refugees through music. It is also a doctoral research finding (PhD research with the ethics approval). Community mental health seems to have become a major health issue around the world with the release of the recent WHO report in which depression is identified to be heading the list of ten leading causes of DALYs (the Disability Adjusted Life Year lost) (Mathers & Loncar, 2005). The report is essentially a powerful driving force behind the upsurge of interest in mental health promotion which is believed to be the greatest tool to tackle this global health problem. SmoothStream Band is leading the world to promote mental health and prevent mental illnesses in this 21st Century. SmoothStream Band is showing real promising results everyday in terms of establishing informal social support networks, which seems to be the most important resource for positive mental health. The category of this article is in mental health. I hope you will consider favourably my request to re-launch for the benefits of the world community to learn experiences from the SmoothStream Band. I have many more to write for this article.
