Knedle
Appearance
Knedle are very similar to the Polish Pierogi. In fact, the two usually make use of the same dough and the only major differences are that, rather than being filled with a potato mixture, the Knedle are instead filled with fruit. As with pierogi, the exact method of cooking them will vary by country of origin and region of the country. Where as a pierogi may be boiled and then fried, the Knedle is simply boiled and then eaten as is.
