Vivatel (Template:Lang-bg) is the trade mark under which the third Bulgarian GSM operator BTC Mobile is operating. Started in November 2005, it is owned by the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company, which was granted a GSM operator license in June 2004 and an UMTS license in May 2005. The 3G network was launched in April 2007.

Vivatel offers plans unique for the Bulgarian mobile market like unlimited talk time between two subscribers or unlimited talk time in the evening and on the weekend. There is also a combined package with voice services and ADSL home internet services (through its owner BTC).

Vivatel is a sponsor of many music-related events: the concerts of P!nk, INXS and Vaya Con Dios in Bulgaria, music award shows and more. It also sponsors volleyball, ice-skating, streetball, snowboarding, electronic sports sport events and the football club PFC CSKA Sofia.

In December 2006, just 13 months after its launch, Vivatel reached 700,000 clients, which is around 7% market share,[1] making it the fastest growing operator in Bulgaria.

In May 2007 American International Group acquired 65% of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company and Vivatel for the price of €1.08 billion.[2]
