Manton, Rutland

Manton is a village in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England.

The village once had a railway station, Manton Junction, situated to the south of the village. It closed in the 1960s and the station buildings are now used as a factory. Manton also has a number of other attractions including 'The Horse and Jockey'. The only pub on the cycle route of Rutland Water and has recetnly had a refurbishment and now looks spiffing. Manton enjoys terrfic views of Rutland Water and the water's famous Osprey population. Some members of the community even have telescopes looking at our feathered freinds.
