Ruzhany Palace

Ruzhany Palace (Template:Lang-be) is located in Ruzhany village, Pruzhany raion of Brest voblast (province) of western Belarus. Originally built in the 16th century by the Sapieha family, Ruzhany Palace was damaged during wars of 1698-1721 and rebuilt in 1784-1786 (architect Y.S. Becker). From 1795 a textile mill and weaving factory were set-up in the palace compound. It was purchased by A.L. Pines from Duke Sapieha on December 21, 1829. The palace was damaged by fire in 1914-15 and partially restored in 1930. Finally ruined in 1944.
