Basically my JAWS Lake.jpg image is being deleted and i don't know how to edit it to change the permissions good enough for wikipedia to keep it. This site really isn't user friendly, it should not allow you to select options which are not allowed. Doesn't make sense.

Wikipedia allwows you to select these options to prevent you form uploading images, which are protected by the law. In case of fair use, there are exceptions, which permit you to upload the image. Therefore you should look at fair use. If one of the exceptions, shown there, can be used on your image, contact Shell, and tell him, that you do not know, how to show this exception on the page of the image. I am sure that he will help you instead of deleting your image.--Thw1309 13:31, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:JAWS Lake.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:JAWS Lake.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shell babelfish 03:27, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
