Travel City Direct is a British charter travel company specialising in holidays to the U.S. The company is owned by the XL Leisure Group.
Travel City Direct operates 16 flights per week to Orlando Sanford Airport from its bases at Manchester Airport, London Gatwick Airport, Glasgow International Airport and Cardiff International Airport.
Aircraft
Travel City Direct leases Boeing 747-300 aircraft that are operated in high density configuration seating 517 passengers, 470 economy class, 25 in Premium and 22 in First. The aircraft are operated by XL Airways and are leased from Air Atlanta Icelandic. They and will be returned to Air Atlanta on the 17 November 2007 upon lease expiration. XL plans to use Boeing 767 equipment for the winter period on all Travel City Direct flights. Travel City Direct also plans to use a leased XL Airways France Airbus A330 whilst waiting for their own aircraft to arrive in 2008. This will remove the 3-class configuration of the aircraft, reducing it to 2-class only.
