The article TINKLECOMM Wireless has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 15:24, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: TINKLECOMM Wireless

Re your message: I deleted the article because by the time I came across it, no additional edits had been done to it for over an hour and the content of the article was still nearly empty. You are welcome to recreate it, but please see the guidelines for notability of companies about the requirements for inclusion on Wikipedia. I checked around a bit and Google found no reference to "Tinklecomm" or "Everway Wireless", so your claims about this company are a bit dubious. However, if you can cite reliable sources for the existence and notability of this company, you are welcome to rewrite the article. If you think it will take some time to write the article, I recommend that you first write the article within in your user space and then move it to the mainspace when you are done. -- Gogo Dodo 19:02, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: Unfortunately, articles on Wikipedia require verifiability, so if you can not provide a reliable and verifiable source for your information, it's likely that it will get deleted again. As for when articles on Wikipedia are "finished", it's true that articles are never "finished" per se, but there is an expectation that an article reach a certain point and have a certain minimal amount of content. As I said before, when I deleted your article, it only contained "TINKLECOMM Stands for TINKLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS." which is not enough for an article. -- Gogo Dodo 04:46, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Angella Christie

Re your message: I don't know anything about Angella Christie, sorry. I noticed that you added her to Wikipedia:Requested articles/music/Composers and songwriters. Sometimes it takes awhile for somebody to create the article. Or you can give a try at writing the article yourself. =) -- Gogo Dodo 04:30, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: Wikipedia is an all volunteer effort, so somebody has to be interested in creating the article for your request to be fulfilled. Like I said, I don't know anything about her or her genre of music, so I would probably do a fairly poor job at creating the article. Perhaps one day, somebody will create the article or you will feel comfortable enough here to write it yourself. -- Gogo Dodo 23:48, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: Okay, I have created a fairly minimal stub article for you at Angélla Christie. Seeing how I don't know her at all and don't know anything about either gospel music or the saxophone, I will leave it up to you to expand the article further. -- Gogo Dodo 05:48, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: You're welcome. I would recommend working on expanding her biography. -- Gogo Dodo 21:00, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May 2007

A tag has been placed on TINKLECOMM Mail, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on Talk:TINKLECOMM Mail. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. Umalee 22:21, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MY ARTICLE DOES NOT NEED TO BE DELTED BECAUSE IF SO THEN ALL ATRICLES ITHAT HAVE TO DO WITH WEBBASED MAIL NEED TO ALSO. DO NOT LEAVE THOSE TAGS ON MY PAGE SAYING THAT IT NEEDS TO BE DELTED BECAUSE ITS NON SENSE.

--Muriness 22:25, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

All right, I just did a google search on 'telekinkle mail'. I didn't get any results. I'm not requested it be deleted because of the content, I'm requesting it be deleted because of its' unnotability. You need any arguments to put on the talk page after putting on the 'hang on' tag on the article yourself. Thank you. --Umalee 22:33, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with TINKLECOMM Mail. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place hangon on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Umalee 00:28, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AT&T Wireless LLC

I am going to suggest that the current AT&T Mobility redirect page become the true Wikipedia article for AT&T Mobility LLC. AT&T Wireless LLC has nothing of factual or trade name pertinence to AT&T Mobility, since AT&T Wireless has been defunct since 2004, and AT&T Mobility is not advertising itself as AT&T Wireless. Re: THE GUY

Re your message: Editing another user's page is not the proper response if you disagree with a deletion. If you disagree with a deletion, please follow proper procedures. The first thing you should do is contact the administrator, Renata3 (talk), who made the determination on the deletion and ask them to politely reconsider and explain why you believe that the article should exist. Blanking the admin's user page is not the way to convince them that the article should be restored. -- Gogo Dodo 01:03, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: You left messages for the editor who tagged the article for deletion, not the administrator who did the actual deletion. I did look at the deleted revisions of the article and I agree with the deletion decision. The company fails to meet the requirements for notability. With the company being of such small size, it's just not notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia at this time. Perhaps in the future when it expands, but not currently. You can read up on the notability requirements for companies and web content. -- Gogo Dodo 01:51, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Restore deleted articles

Please refer to deletion review because I do not agree it should be restored -- there is nothing to indicate that the article met website notability guidelines. Thanks. Renata 01:44, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you just re-create the article, it will be deleted again. The only way to restore is to go through deletion review, but I would not be surprised if it remained deleted. Renata 16:28, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: TINKLECOMM Mail

Re your message: The problem is not one of the article meeting formatting standards, but it meeting notability standards. I do not believe that the company/web site meets the notability requirements as I told you before. Furthermore, the listed web site does not exist, I can not find any record of "TINKLECOMM" (just like we discussed when you created the "TINKLECOMM Wireless" article), and I find it difficult to believe that a web mail company that is supposed to compete with the large web mail companies would be run from a free web mail hosting company (ZZN). All of these factors make me question if the company/website really exists as claimed. You should not recreate the article unless you are able to include cited secondary sources for the information contained in the article. -- Gogo Dodo 01:08, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: I will not restore the article. Please see my previous messages and the messages from Renata about why it will not be restored. -- Gogo Dodo 06:01, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: As I told you before, I will not restore the article. Please stop asking me to restore it. If you wish to contest the deletion, please follow the procedure at Wikipedia:Deletion review. -- Gogo Dodo 07:21, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Furthermore, if you do request a review of this deletion at Wikipedia:Deletion review, I suggest you supply some reliable sources that this service did, in fact, exist. It seems extremely unlikely that the webmail service you have described could possibly have gone completely unnoticed by Google: [1] [2] [3] --Stormie 04:31, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you need help?

Muriness, it seems that you have some confusion about some of the tools and procedures on Wikipedia. If you would like some advice on how to re-make the articles on TINKLECOMM Wireless and TINKLECOMM Mail so that they would not be immediate deletion candidates, I would be happy to help with it. A few tips for you that may help:

  • Assume Good Faith - People don't, for the most part, go around deleting pages for no reason. It is done, primarily, as a way to improve Wikipedia, not an attack on the article.
  • Perfection is not required - Your article does not have to be perfect, but it has to be something with content and needs to give a reason that another person looking at it will recognise for being in Wikipedia.
  • You will want to discuss things on the appropriate page. Talk pages, deletion review, etc.
  • No personal attacks - Stay away from attacking a person. A policy is ok. Content, fine. An editor, bad idea. Example:
    • This policy is stupid because... (Ok. No one is hurt by this.)
    • The content here is untrue/illogical/unfounded because... (Good. You can't achieve consensus if you don't discuss the issues.)
    • Slavlin is an idiot because... (This is bad. The person might actually be an idiot, but Wikipedia is about content, not the editors.)
Always make sure that you respond to anything you don't understand or like, but make sure to do it in the right forum and with respect toward the POV that the other person may have.

Just let me know on my talk page if you would like help with anything. Slavlin 22:24, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, the first thing you want to do is, if it is going to take a while to create the page you want, do it in a WP:SANDBOX instead of on in the main userspace. You can create a sandbox for yourself just by creating a link to it, maybe on your main userpage, then clicking on it to create it. Here is an example for you. User:Muriness/Tinklecomm Just click on that link and you can start working on it. Put in the stuff that you think should be in there and let me know when you want me to look at it. I will try to give you some pointers. Once it is ready, you can use the Move tab to move it into the main area and not have to worry about it getting nominated for deletion in the meantime.Slavlin 22:18, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I looked and, while I think you information is good, it still sounds a little like advertising. Here are a couple of questions I would like to see answered in the article. Remember, they have to be answered with facts, not opinions.
  • Why is this a significant company?
  • What makes them different or innovative?
  • Why is this not just a prediction?
It may help to think about how you heard about them and why you care enough to write an article about them. BTW- I am watching this page, if you want to reply here. Slavlin 04:35, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: RE: RE: RE: TINKLECOMM Mail

I answered the midde question but im confused with the other two Slavin

Well, it still reads like an advertisement right now. It gives the features and everything execpt the prices for the products. The difference that you added is good, but there needs to be something that makes them notable as a company. Have there been articles on them? Have they done something first or something no one else has done? What makes them important enough that you take the time to write an article? For example, my great grandfather was a significant influence in my life and is notable to me, but there is no special significance to people outside of my friends and family that has been noted by reliable sources. Check out the information on organizations that I linked above. It should help you see what kind of criteria it needs to meet. Then you need to be able to show it meets those criteria. Slavlin 14:53, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: TINKLECOMM Mail

I listed the features and prodcuts! There under the different levels and when the new version comes out I will be able to explain to you the new upgrades. I still dont see hoe it looks like an advertisement.

--Muriness 23:27, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, but I was not saying that it needed to tell all of the features. I saw that. I am not sure how to say that it reads like an advertisement other than it does. Look at some of the other software and services articles. Have you read the link on notability? Slavlin 03:33, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: TINKLECOMM Mail

Yes, I acually tried to compare it to Yahoo Mail. and I have read some of the other article and How does it look like an advertisement!?! It doesnt say "Hey Get Atala T and save!" To me its like a normail article, you can even comare it your self if you want to?

--Muriness 02:31, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Muriness, I have been trying to help you with this as my time allows, but you don't seem to be making much of an effort here. I am thinking that you would benefit from participating with some other articles first. That might give you more of a feel for how the process needs to work. Also, I think you need to get a better feel for the software. Probably spend some time reading on Wikipedia:Introduction as well. Talk pages are pretty basic but you don't seem to be using them properly either. That is what is giving me the feeling that you don't have a good feel for the tools available. Slavlin 04:06, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Believe me I am trying my best to do whats right on here and to be correct with everything but It seems like it isnt good enough, Swatjester is abusing his power and making threts to block or remove me from here now I did not get disrespectful with him/her and I felt offened by what he said to me. He has no right to make threts or hurass other users. Im really starting to concider deleting everything and giving up if this is the way it is going to be.

--Muriness 01:13, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I followed the trail on it and I agree that you were being disrespectful. He does have the right and the duty to block people who are being disruptive. It is not to keep them from editing, but more to enforce a "cool down" period and make them think. Slavlin 15:11, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your image

Image:ATALA T LOGO.png" has been deleted. All images uploaded with a fair use tag must have a fair use rationale provided. SWATJester Denny Crane. 14:24, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do not use your user space to accuse other editors of things. You are treading dangerously close to being blocked for disruption. As I said earlier, your image was deleted due to lack of a fair use rationale. Just adding the boilerplate template is not enough. Please do not upload fair use images until you are knowledgeable about our image policies and fair use policies. SWATJester Denny Crane. 22:53, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You really need to just drop the issue. You're wrong on the policy. If you want to report me, do so. SWATJester Denny Crane. 22:32, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia:Non-free content guidelines are not as straight forward as you'd expect them to be. A good way to look at it is "Wikipedia fair use guidelines are more restrictive than fair use law." Non-free images without proper fair use rationales are subject to deletion. Images not used to directly supplement articles in the mainspace are subject to deletion. In other words, images in User: space that do not have fair use rationales are subject to deletion for more than one reason. Re: User:Muriness/Tinklecomm

Hi Muriness, I've removed the beta software tag from User:Muriness/Tinklecomm. This tag adds Category: Beta Software to the article. We are not suppose to use categories on user pages or subpages per Wikipedia:User pages#What may I not have on my user page.3F. When you are ready to put this article in mainspace, it can be added back in. Thanks. --Celain 02:58, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop.

You

No, I will not leave this alone because I feel disrespected! And I did not disrupt anyone and the content I have here is sutable for wikipedia!

--Muriness 02:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have received your answer. Continuing along this path is disruptive and will result in you being further blocked. Please just drop the issue, and spend some time reading up on our image policy. SWATJester Denny Crane. 02:31, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: You

Your blocking me for no reason. I fell this is unfail and this is abuse and I will continue to fight untill fair actions are taken or until we come to an agreement. and as far as the policy goes, I have read it, have YOU red it lateley?

--Muriness 02:34, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. Continue to state your intent to be disruptive, and you will be blocked from editing. SWATJester Denny Crane. 02:35, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked for a period of 48 hours, for harassment, and repeated statements of intent to disrupt Wikipedia. You may appeal to request an unblock by adding the template unblock and following the template instructions. I suggest VERY STRONGLY you read the policy at WP:NFC and WP:USER, as well as the doctrine of fair use (WP:FU before continuing. SWATJester Denny Crane. 02:44, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Endorsing the block. Muriness, may I suggest that in the meantime, please learn about our policies and guidelines. ←Humus sapiens ну? 02:48, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. As you seem to have some problems getting used to the Wiki, I thought I'd suggest that you try to join the #wikipedia-en-help chat on IRC when your block has expired. rationale

Muriness, the tag that you have uploaded is acceptable, however in addition to the template, you must provide a written explanation of WHY you think the image applies as Fair Use. You must do this for EVERY page that it is included in. Also, note that since it is a Fair Use image, you will not be able to use it in your user space. (i.e. the page where you are working on the ATALA article). SWATJester Denny Crane. 02:47, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can do it right underneath the template. Right after you put the template, type: "I believe that this image qualifies as fair use in the article (ARTICLE NAME) because (REASONS)."
Then just replace (ARTICLE NAME) with the name of the article that you intend to use it in, and replace (REASONS) with your fair use rationale. Remember, you have to do this once for every page you plan to include the logo on.
And sorry no, it absolutely positively cannot go in your user space, not even for a little bit. It can ONLY be used in the article, because that is the only place that it qualifies for the fair use rationale. SWATJester Denny Crane. 22:18, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Muriness, when you do take this to mainspace, I'd recommend doing the following:
The 200px part will shrink it down so it doesn't distort the infobox and take up so much of the page. --Celain 21:54, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

talk page

I'm actually about to change mine, because I really don't like it anymore.

The best thing you can do is find someone who has a page design that you like, and then copy it, changing the usernames to reflect yourself. For instance, if you were to copy Slavlin's user page, you would edit it and change it so that every time it says Slavlin, you change it to Muriness. You should ask permission first before doing that though, because sometimes people don't like it if you do so. SWATJester Denny Crane. 03:43, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did the same thing as above: I copied it from someone else. I'm not very good at designing pages. SWATJester Denny Crane. 19:57, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have AIM, but I only use it for work purposes, so I don't give out the address. SWATJester Denny Crane. 02:37, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Newatalatlogo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Newatalatlogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 00:14, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Logos are usually non-free: You do need a rationale. See WP:FURG for help. --ST47Talk·Desk 00:27, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About the articals you create

Dude you create great articals they have depth and give allot of information, some of the best articals stubs ive seen......but what you have a problem is is what you write about. Since theres like 455947593475943759347985739457943574375943759437589437598437895374957943 wikipedia users most notable subjects have already been covered. Also r ember that just because you are on wikipedia doesn't mean you have to create an artical. God ive only made a small list as the artical i created. I suggest you just find topics of interest and then edit their articals to make them better. ForeverDEAD 01:44, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE.userboxes

I actualy do not know how to make userboxes but User:Hayden120 should be able to help you out. Also you could go to Wikipedia:Userboxes and go to gallery to give you a huge list. Oh i just remberd thatif you go to Wikipedia: Userboxes it gives you directions ForeverDEAD 00:23, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Start by making a page for your userbox, but still attached to your account. You do this by creating a page with your user page name, a slash, then the name of your userbox, eg. 'User:Muriness/MyUserbox'. Then, edit this page. There are a variety of options to choose from, but here is some simple code you can copy to get started:

You can see you have a choice of two colours, an image, the size of the image (40px in this sample), and the caption in the Userbox at the end. You can also Wikilink text within this caption; as an example, 'Userbox' is Wikilinked.
Once this is complete, just copy the name of your userbox, 'User:Muriness/MyUserbox', with two curly brackets at both ends; and put the code where you want it. It will then turn out like this:
This is a simple Userbox

- Hayden120 10:56, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did you copy the code straight from the page? Do not go into edit mode, just copy what you can see. Just put that into a page; User:Muriness/MyUserbox will do for now. Then edit the code I gave you for what you want. Then put onto your user page. It's a lot easier than it looks!

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Atalatlogo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Atalatlogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:40, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
