Stages

There are a total of 20 arenas inside One Piece Grand Adventure. 10 normal stages with 3 needing to overall be unlocked(Must be to unlock the Alternate Versions), and 10 alternate stages that must be unlocked for all 10.

Fusha Village

A lush, green village with the birth of Monkey D. Luffy and Portagez D. Trace.A cow that goes on an annoying rage if step on the back.Aleterate version is with bandits and its sunset.

Drum Castle

Dalton is at the gate, the snow is pink, and the Jolly Roger flag.also present. The alternate version is set during the day, and there are snowmen littered around the stage.

Arlong Park

The origanal Arlong park you can get hit by Kurobi,he just stuns you Choa,he shoots water bullets and Hachi he shoots ink causing you to become dizzy Alterate version is Nighttime with a broken building and a KO'd Mohmoo

Roguetown

In a raining storm with Buggys crew knocked out, Naval Recruits will change the shape of the barricades constantly. If caught in the spot light bombs will be lauched after 10 or so seconds. Alternate is during the daytime with only Buggy's pirates around and no rain. Alvida is in the ring, and will slide around and swing her club if she is attacked (just like in Grand Battle/Grand Battle RUSH).

Baratie

Zeff is sometimes replaced with Patty, but is seen on the wall. Pandasharks sometimes get stuck on wooden platforms, wall-guarding Patty is removed. Alternate is the same as the normal, but during the day and with the "Mackerel Head 1" machine that Carne and Patty operate instead of pandasharks. (Just like in One Piece Grand Battle RUSH)Zeff or Patty aren't visible if support characters Zeff, Patty, or the Zeff character is used.

Alabasta

Now has grass rather than sand, a barrel rolls now and again leaving oil on the ground. Unlike the alternate, this version has a mirror image-like setting, with another cannon an temple on the opposite side of the stage. The alternate version is the same as in Grand Battle.

Foxy Pirate Ship

Referred to as a generic Pirate Ship, and Big Pan has been replaced with Brogy (although Pickles is still present). The alternate is during a storm while tilted, having more obstacles. Now bombs roll toward one side, causing more chaos and parts of the ships (like wood or steel bars) falls down at random areas.

Eden Rock

Its just like the one from "Grand Battle". The alternate is a night version with the pillars, if broken, fall inside the ring instead of it falling outside.

Skypiea

Its is beautiful and littered with Satori's "Surprise Balls", which contain poisonous snake or flowers. Nola the python is also seen, and will open her mouth if attacked. The alternate is night, dark and gloomy, with a knocked out Nola and lightning bolts (created by Eneru) that strike chests(With a huge one coming shortly after the start of the round that creates a large crater in the center of the stage).

Maxim

It is now under construction, leaving right half the stage open while items are sent and Enforcers are building. The gears rotate in the opposite direction. Alternate is the same as in Grand Battle Rush!, with the left half of the stage open; the other parts destroyed.

Features

  • Pandaman is removed.
  • The Jewel item is removed.
  • Accel heat: you can cancel out of enemy combos/grabs, increase attack power, and increase speed with this with each level of the special attack meter.
  • Swing feature: you can swing containers and giant items (4-ton bat or Burn Blade) at enemies instead of just throwing them, which stuns the enemy.
  • Running into a box which hits the enemy will also stun them.
  • All-support system; any fighter can use almost any support. Attacks that only the user can do and inanimate objects can only be used by the user.
  • Luffy has his Gum Gum (Gomu Gomu no) Cannon from the Davy Back Fight and Water 7 arcs as his default. Storm can be used after beating Crocodile in Luffy's mode. When highlighting Luffy in any mode, just hold down L.
  • Arena Mode to fight and rise up ranks.
  • Updated graphics and attack effects.
  • There is now a King of the Pirates outfit for Monkey D. Luffy as well as Skypeia outfits for everyone else (e.g. Robin also gets a kimono; Chopper gets Christmas outfit instead)
  • When the secret attack is used instead of the last game's health dependence, this game involves a Rock, Paper, Scissors type game with Wisdom, Technique, and Strength.
  • Some attacks are weaker or stronger than before.
  • When item containers are hit by a burning attack, they will be lit on fire instead of being destroyed instantly. Burning containers will set on fire anyone who touches them and will automatically be destroyed in a couple of seconds.

Trivia

  • Luffy second secret attack has a full secret attack environment, throughout part 1, 2, and 3, however, Eneru has no secret attack environment (The Maxim doesn't count, he's using it as a weapon.)
  • This is the very first One Piece game to ever include Kuina and/or Red-Shoe Zeff as playable characters, and Kuina is the youngest One Piece character to have ever been included in a One Piece game. She is also the second deceased playable character in a One Piece game (The first being Mr 9 in One Piece: Going Baseball).
  • The game seems to have more content that was cut from the English dub anime (Ex. In the game in Luffy's adventure, Zolo/Zoro - told Tashigi to stop copying his dead friend (Kuina); this was not said in the English dub anime, this was the original Japanese version of the line. In the English dub they said she was injured so badly, she could never fight again. Also, the part where Zolo/Zoro said this was cut from the dub version). Also, in Luffy's Adventure Mode, Dr. Kureha states that she's 99 years old (the dub says she's 99 and a half), yet she is still said to be 140 in her mini-bio in Chopper's character data. As well, in Bon Clay's character bio, it mentions that he uses the Okama Fist (in the dub, it's called Crazy Karate).
  • Majority of the theme background/music came from all the fighting Japanese version of the One Piece game (From One Piece 1 to Grand Battle Rush)
  • Zeff and Tashigi are both support characters and playable characters. The support characters were less detailed including Zeff having a slightly smaller hat than the playable Zeff and Tashigi having a different shirt than the playable Tashigi. Zoro is a support character but only as a child.
  • Clothing errors from the US version of Grand Battle (e.g. Chaser's(Smoke in the original) cigars) are still not edited out.
  • Playing as Ohm when fighting against Luffy or in one of the Drum Castle arenas will make him talk like Wapol at the start of the battle and when he wins.
  • When Chopper does his Kokutei Roseo, his backpack is gone.
