Hi

Hi, and welcome to my talk page. Thank you all for bringing good information here. I'll delete whatever clutters the page, trivial talk, personal attacks, solved discussions, and keep what's really important, as I've been doing lately. Sometimes, several comments interrupt creativity and concentration, and that's the most important thing here. So, enjoy and happy editing.--Entre-Nos 04:50, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear RJFJR:

Thank you for your comments. You're very kind and clear. I'll follow your advice from now on.

I want to help you here. Look, I believe that you have what it takes to make great contributions in Puerto Rican related stuff. If you want I can set up a "workshop" for you where you can write your article. Then you can ask for opinions before submitting it. Now, let me remind you once again becuase for some reason you do not want to understand. Be creative and original. This is what our policy states

"Do not copy text from other websites without a GFDL-compatible license. It will be deleted."

This policy. Tony the Marine 06:19, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tony, thanks for the workshop offer. Why not? I'd love to. It's not that I don't understand, I do, but I don't agree. That's ok, I think. Thank you again for your continuous advice. I appreciate it. --Entre-Nos 07:00, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you Tony. I really appreciate it. I'll start tomorrow, if I have the time. Best regards: --Entre-Nos 21:02, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

How are you today? By adding "del" to Ramon "Diplo" Rivero in the Paquito Cordero (which I wrote), you are de-linking Diplo's name tp his article. So, mi amigo I'm going to fix it once more and do not revert it. Tony the Marine 21:18, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
 • I'm sorry Tony, but I corrected it as it appears on the list of famous Puerto Ricans. His real name is Ramón del Rivero, and his nick name is Diplo. But, don't worry, I won't revert it again as you wish. No problem.

Best regards. --Entre-Nos 04:45, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

 • Thank you very much, Tony. I really appreciate it. --Entre-Nos 04:45, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
 • I have one suggestion. If you want to get in touch with me or any other editor, go to my or their "talk pages" and leave a message. I rarely check other users talk pages, but always answer wharever is posted in my page. Tony the Marine 04:03, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion

O.K., ya veo lo que pasa. You are going to have to write the articles using the following format so that they meet Wikipedia standards.

I'm going to give an example of what is expected when you write an encyclopedic article here. Try to follow this format:

Example:

Juan Bobo (born march -, ----), is a Puerto Rican ---- that has won ------ awards and is considered as -----. "This is the introduction which should lead into the article itself"

Early years

Bobo was born and raised in ---, ----. His parents were, he went to school, etc., etc, "Here you write about the persons childhood"

Professional career

"Here you write about Bobo's career in your own words"

Programs

Among the show's and movies that Juan Bobo has participated in are:

Discography or Written works

Bobo recorded the following: or Bobo's written works are the following:

Awards and recogtions

Among Juan Bobo's awards and recognitions are the following:

 • Premio "el Sangano del year" (19--)

Later years

After Bobo retired he went on to ..... Bobo died on December 25, 19-- in ----, PR and is buried in ----

note: If the subject is still alive then add the following section

Currently

Bobo is currently receiving unemployment checks

Here you post the articles in Wikipedia where Juan Bobo is mentioned.

External links

You know what this is.

Add the categories, example:

Use this format to write your articles. Please take a moment and look at this example:David M. Gonzales. Tony the Marine 04:50, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow Tony! That's fantastic. I'll follow your advice, it's going to take time, but I'm going to do it. Thank you, thank you. Best regards.--Entre-Nos 05:42, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

 • Good! This will help make your work original and keep it from being deleted. Anything elsa that I can help in, just ask me in my "talk page" Don't forget just type in 4 "tides" ~~~~ and your name will automatically appear signed and link editors to your page. Marta Romero

You wrote that? Damn, now that looks good! I see that you've taken my advice, congratulations. Tony the Marine 20:49, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much, Tony. You've been my teacher & my angel here. I'm so proud. Thanks again, I'll keep on day by day, trying to be less imperfect. Best regards:--Entre-Nos 21:37, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading the picture of Lou Briel. I've just put it into the right place in the article infobox. Be sure to check it out. Thanks. Thief12 00:26, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. About the Lou Briel picture, don't take it out of the Infobox. Infobox are prepared to hold a picture that's informative of the subject of the article. Your picture serves that purpose perfectly IN the infobox. Thanks again for your contributions. Thief12 19:52, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment

Here's some advice, when writing about a person, do not include phrases such as "famous", "great", "The most talented" and etc. to describe the person. This is considered as "POV" (point of view) and is against policy and not allowed. Remember, what may be true for one person may not be true for another. If POV phrases are posted, someone will "tag" the article as "POV" and then you will have problems. I cleaned up the Marta Romero article for you. Continue to enjoy yourself. Tony the Marine 02:57, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 • I just finished it, Tony. I hope I can make you proud again. Thank you for your help one more time. Best regards--Entre-Nos 09:06, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

You're Welcome!

Hey, you're welcome, man. Anything else I might help you with, let me know. Thief12 02:07, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 • Hi amigo, I see that you have met a famous "Bot" (smile). There is no use talking to a bot. A Bot is an automated feature which will revert things such as "Spams", "vandalism" and such. It doesn't know about the improvements that you've made to an article and will revert all of the work you have done with the only intention of reverting, in this case the "Spam". If you come across a "Bot" again in the future, revert the article, but make sure that you delete what the "Bot" has asked and then you will not have anymore problems. Take care. A note on categories

Hey there. Categories are automatically sorted by whatever text is in the "DEFAULSORT" line, so you don't need to add more text after the category.[1] So See WP:CAT#Category_sorting for more information, and keep up the good work! Gimmetrow 15:06, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gimmetrow: Thank you for your concern. But the thing is that in many cases, the names are not correctly written and when you link category page, the names are not in alphabetical order, or in some cases weren't featured. That's why I've done the changes. I appreciate your kindness and good information. Best regards.--Entre-Nos 17:59, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment moved

Hi. I've moved your comment to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Moved from requests for arbitration. Requests for arbitration is for when all other venues for resolving disputes have failed. The incidents noticeboard is a good first step. Picaroon (Talk) 19:14, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Picaroon! Thanks for your help, really. I appreciate it. Best regards:--Entre-Nos 04:08, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly chat

How have you been? I see that you have been doing a lot of editing lately. I just want to make the following comment in regard to policy. Flag icons within the content of the articles are not allowed. If the article is not about the "flag" itself, it's inclusion will be deemed as decorative and therefore deleted. Flag icons, however are allowed with infoboxes. I hope that this will clear up any confussion regarding this issue and that future edit wars will be avioded. Otherwise, happy editing. Tony the Marine 20:39, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tony! I haven't had the time to thank you for the award. Wow, I'm so honored. My son told me and I couldn't see it until days ago. Mi kids have been doing the job for me and they have enjoyed it. I already know about the flag icons and it wont happen anymore. You really know how to guide and teach the way it is. Thanks again. Best regards! --Entre-Nos 03:56, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the ongoing dispute with he spelling of this gentleman's name. Can I recommend a redirect to the correct spelling so there isn't a duplicate article on Wikipedia? Wildthing61476 20:53, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great idea!, Wildthing. Super.

Changing of Categories

Entre-Nos, How are you my buddy? I see that you are going around and changing the categories of poeple who were born in the U.S., but that are considered Puerto Ricans. A lot of people are complaining. For instance, you should know that Boricuas born in the U.S. always indentify themselves as Puerto Ricans and that even the main stream Americans always classify them as "Puerto Ricans". For example, I consider myself Puerto Rican and just because I was born in the U.S. doesn't that I am not. There are many people such as Sunshine Logrono, Johanna Rosaly and Wilfred Benitez who were born in the U.S. and yet are Puerto Ricans. I suggest that instead of changing the cats (and in some cases offending us Boricuas born elsewhere), you add, if you wish the other category also. Ex:
. Take my advice and keep up the good work. Tony the Marine 21:32, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The truth is the truth

Hi, Tony! How have you been? I hope you're fine. At first, I'm not changing the categories of people born in the U.S., I'm just correcting them. For example, if I'm born in Colombia, I was born in Colombia, not in Venezuela, Argentina or wherever. If someone gets offended by stating the truth, it's a very strange attitude, and they're denying the place they were born. As of Johanna Rosaly, she was born in San Juan, and that's what it says in her bio I didn't write. As of Wilfred Benitez, I haven't seen his bio yet. I've never understood how can you be "boricua" if you weren't born here, or even known here in a lot of cases. When I started correcting the categories, I did it because I found them as Puerto Rican actors, and they're not, or were totally unknown. But, if they want to be kept in that category, no problem with me. I hope the real Puerto Rican actors don't get offended by this. To classify, is not the same as to state the truth. If these people were born somewhere else, they should be proud of their birthplace, and not offended by this. It's ok. I'll engage in more important things, because, really, this doesn't make any sense to me: Boricuas born in New York????. It's like saying, Boricuas born in Japan ??? Thanks anyway. I respect your opinion, even though I don't share it. No hassle. You know you've been my teacher and guide, and I respect that a lot. Best regards:--Entre-Nos 22:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The equation to know who is Boricua is easy, if you have Puerto Rican heritage and you feel proud of being Puerto Rican you are Puerto Rican, regardless of where you are born, I doubt the "real" Puerto Rican actors would be offended, a good example provided by Tony is Sunshine Logroño here you have a man that was born in the US but has done a lot for the local actors, hey he's even a nacionalist. I don't think that Benicio Del Toro would be offended by people like him being classified as Puerto Rican. - Caribbean~H.Q. 01:51, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Como estas mi hermano? You know you made me think so, in order to reach a common ground in regard to the categories, I have added a heading in the categories which would be similiar to this: "This category lists actors and actresses of stage, cinema, television or porn actors who were born in Puerto Rico and people who are of Puerto Rican ancestry." Creo que de esta manera se puede evitar el problema de "quienes son y quienes no son". I hope that you and the family are doing fine. Tony the Marine 03:34, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 • Hi, Tony. Yes, I noticed that. You're the master, and you always know what to do. Excellent idea! My whole family's fine, thank you. Los muchachos te mandan saludos. Best regards boricua. --Entre-Nos 03:40, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
