Ankathatti is a village, 15 km away from Kolar, in the state of Karnataka, India. It is a small village with a population of about 900, with 300 hundred houses. Most importantly it is devoid of huts, with proper housing for all the inhabitants. It is known for its rich religious culture. It is having 4 feet high Uthsava murthy as its pride possession. This village is know for its highest production of silk and milk. This place has give birth to well know regional Gandian Sonnegowda Govidagwoda. Who has served as MLA (Member of legistlative assembly). He has opend a school in the name of Gandi's Ashram (Sabaramathi school) to help local village students. Students from this school have achieved in all fields and they (village students) are serving society in all respects.
