Biography

Personal life

Kay Panabaker was born in Orange, Texas to Donna and Harold Panabaker. She started out acting at various community theatres in Chicago, Illinois; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Atlanta, Georgia. Among her earlier credits include leads in The Herbal Bed, Once Upon A Time and Winnie-the-Pooh as Roo. She has an older sister, Danielle Panabaker, who is also an actress. In Chicago she went to Crone Middle School for sixth grade, moved out to Los Angeles, California when she was going into seventh grade.

While in between projects, Kay focuses on her academics. She graduated from high school as valedictorian when she was only 13 years old and received her Associate's Degree at age 15.[1] Kay received two academic scholarships from the community college she attended and was on the Dean's list there, graduating with honors. She was accepted to UCLA as a junior history major when she was just 15 and is now a senior. Kay was inspired by an elementary school teacher who made learning exciting, and she wants to do the same for others, hoping to teach 4th or 5th grade once she gets her teaching degree.[2]
