James Frain (born March 14, 1968) is a British stage and screen actor.
Frain was born in Leeds, Yorkshire and studied drama at the University of East Anglia. He also studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He made his film debut in Shadowlands (1993), as a result of being spotted by Richard Attenborough. He has also appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He recently appeared in the television series 24 and Invasion.
Currently, he is in rehearsals for the 40th Anniversary Broadway revival of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming, co-starring Ian McShane, Eve Best, Raul Esparza, and Michael McKean. Previews begin November 23rd, 2007 at the Cort Theater, in preparation for a December 13th opening.
