Liliane Maury Pasquier

Swiss Socialist Party Politician

Born December 16, 1956 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Swiss Parliamentary Elections 2007
She has been elected to the National Parliament in Bern the Swiss capital. She has caused indignation and outrage among voters and members of various political parties after it became clear that she had manipulated and played with the good will and feelings of voters. During her campaign she had gained sympathy by declaring to the media that she was going to donate a kidney to her grand daughter who has been in need of a transplant. Yet the very same day that parliamentary election results were given on October 21, 2007 and that it was announced that she had won a seat she said to the press that she had changed her mind and would not go on to give the kidney to her granddaughter
