I-Empire

I-Empire is the second studio album by rock band Angels & Airwaves.

It is due for release in 2007 on November 6 in North America and on November 5 in the UK. From November 1, 2007 it also will be on their website.

Album

Angels & Airwaves started work on I-Empire in the beginning of 2007; it is the first album ever recorded in the Macbeth Studio.

On May 20, 2007, in an interview with alternative radio, the band said that the album was 60-70% complete and that the record would be out in October or November 2007. Frontman Tom DeLonge also stated that the album would continue the element of the first album but "times ten," and that in a story, I-Empire would follow We Don't Need to Whisper; We Don't Need to Whisper being a 're-birth' of life, and I-Empire being an album about what you do after the re-birth.

On May 30, 2007, Tom DeLonge stated in an interview with Kerrang!^[1] that the new album would be named I-Empire and "this is as exciting as rock 'n' roll gets!"

In the July 18, 2007 edition of Kerrang! magazine, Tom DeLonge confirmed 5 track names from the new album. They are "Star Of Bethlehem", "Secret Crowds", "Breathe", "Sirens" and "Everything's Magic."

On July 29, 2007, as a part of the 'Everybody Hurts' Tour, Angels & Airwaves played 4 new songs from I-Empire for the fans. The songs were Secret Crowds, Sirens, Lifeline, and Everything's Magic, along with an live acoustic perfomance of Everything's Magic.the gift,good day,do it for me now and the adventure.

On September 24th, 2007, the video for Everything's Magic premiered on MTV2's "Unleashed."

On October 1st, 2007, a promotional CD containing Everything's Magic, Secret Crowds, My Only Fear (later renamed "Call to Arms"), Sirens, and Breathe was leaked on punkdisasters.com and avaempire.com

According to their myspace page, I-Empire will be available on the band's official website on November 1st, 2007 along with their fully new website.

On October 16th, 2007, 30 second preview clips of the whole album were released on 7digital.com.

On October 21st, 2007 Heaven, Call to Arms, and Secret Crowds appeared on Angels and Airwaves MySpace and were removed the next day in response to people ripping the new songs. However, a good quality version of "Heaven" is available for download at fan sites like punkdisasters.com and avaempire.com.
