Science City is a centre for interactive science in different cities across the world.

Usually, the science city houses the Astronomy Centre, Centre for Prehistoric Research and many other facilities.

Science City is also a term used for Naukograd, communities in Russia and the former Soviet Union that are devoted to scientific research.

Science City is also a name of a city in the Philippines, the Science City of Muñoz in the province of Nueva Ecija.

Six English Science Cities were designated as such in the 2005 UK Budget by the then Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown to provide a range of support services to assist in the creation and growth of technology-based businesses, entrepreneurs and skills development opportunities. The cities are Birmingham [1], Bristol [2], Manchester [3], Newcastle upon Tyne [4], Nottingham [5] and York [6].

The Toronto Science City started in 1979 as a retail science store concept. Today you will find gifts for almost any age and any interest. Books, toys, games, puzzles, optics and other merchandise - all thoughtfully selected and well presented. The Canadian trademark Science City is the intellectual property of Science City Inc.
