Nili District

Nili is a district in Daykundi Province, Afghanistan. It was created in 2005 from Daykundi district. The main village Nili is also the capital of the Daykundi Province. It is situated at 2022 m altitude. There is an airport(heliport) with gravel runway and a commercial radio station. The weather conditions in the winter are severe and the roads are difficult.

Now the Afghan National Television has also started broadcasting their programs. Nili shares long borders with volatile district of Gezab which is under influence of the Taliban. The main villages of Nili are, Dasht Sari Nili Pai Nili Ghudar Qol Qadir Qom Ahmad Baeg Ijdi Shish Kohna Deyh Sangmom
