Disputed fair use rationale for Image:100dzd2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:100dzd2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:45, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help me

{{helpme}} Hi. I got told for my fair use rationale on Image:500dzd2.jpg that the article associated with the image doesn't exist. However, it exists, and I checked capitilization, and also tried to copy-paste the title, and it still doesn't work. Any tips? Thanks. --escondites 16:45, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an image expert, but I found the error in your template and fixed it. You used [[Algerian dinar]] where you should have used simple Algerian dinar without the brackets. Generally, in templates, just putting in the article name without the linking templates is the way to go. Into The Fray T/C 17:14, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Response from 52Pickup's page

Bonjour Escondites,

I figured that I would move this conversion from 52's talk to your talk as to not bog down his page. I caught your posting on his page by pure chance.

All of your requests can be handled by Infobox Settlement. It is just a matter setting up an empty syntax tailored for the desired location. Also, if the information is available, I couldn't find very much info out there in my short look. If you can find me the sources for the Adrar Province, then I'll insert those into that example. If you can find me a district article then I'll try to set up another example. —MJCdetroit 14:38, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aloha, dear MJCdetroit! (You know, here in Algeria we say Détroit)
But, is this template actually used by administrative divisions other than settlements, such as provinces, states, counties, and distircts? I mean, most countries have specific infoboxes for their division, or simply do not have any infoboxes, as most Algerian articles.
And wouldn't it be too difficult to use the raw syntax and edit it every time for the articles? BTW: Does the settlement infobox support colors? (Yes, I know, it's a stupid question) --escondites 17:46, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oui, c'est la leçon numéro un, le premier jour de classe française, mais that was like 15 years ago. However, the French pronunciation (of course with a strong American accent) of "DAY-TWaaa" is a common nickname that everyone knows. But I degas...

Yes, it is used for places such as provinces: Baja California Sur and Al Anbar Governorate. One idea is to make a "wrapper" like what was done for {{Infobox Serbia municipality}}. That way you have the consistency, but it makes syntax entry much easier for the average editor.—MJCdetroit 20:03, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption?

Hello Escondites! I see you have recently decided that you would like to be adopted. I would only be too happy to do this. Quick summary of me: Been here 6 months, 5000 edits. Regards, Rudget Contributions 17:20, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

:) Anything you want to know? Rudget Contributions 17:26, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well there is two different styles you can choose. For example you can choose to do either: <ref>[www.website.com]</ref>, or you can do <ref>{{cite web|url=www.website.com|title=example|publisher=example|accessdate=2007-11-05}}</ref> (Where 2007-11-05 refers to the 5th November 2007) - Anything else? - Ask me or see, Wikipedia:Citation templates. Don't worry if you don't get them first time, I didn't! Oh and by the way remember to put all cites after full stops or commas. Rudget Contributions 17:37, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, add a new section like this: ==References== and then add {{Reflist|2}} into it. Save the page and then it should work. Rudget Contributions 17:44, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yep I'm fine! Thank you for asking. :) - I see you're interested or probably wanting to edit Algeria articles. May I suggest joining WP:Algeria. It doesn't look very active to me but I'm sure your efforts would be appreciated. In essence the page you will be directed to is a WikiProject, or just a group of people dedicated to editing a certain sect of articles. If you don't want to join it, no worries. It would be advisable not to work just in WikiProjects. Rudget Contributions 17:50, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, what do I say now? :S Rudget Contributions 18:26, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tunisian governorates

Dear Escondites,
I remarked that you created new maps for the Tunisian governorates. Thank you very much ! But the map for the Kasserine Governorate is missing. I presume it should be this one : Image:TN-09.svg. Can you please do it and advise me as you did it ? Regards Moumou82
