Kilmeny Niland is an Australian artist and illustrator. She grew up in Sydney and studied art at the Julian Ashton Art School. She has worked in animation, children's books, wildlife art, miniatures, portraits, cards and prints. She has won numerous prizes in national and international competitions, and one of her portraits was purchased by Australia's National Portrait Gallery, in Canberra.

Her mother is acclaimed Australian author Ruth Park.

In the late 1970s she married academic Rafe Champion. They have four children: Leo, Hugh, Patrick and Tom Champion.
