Fug is a term started in the 1970's by a group of friends, with a band named "gumpfest". The term Fug is used in place of Marijuana (Pot, Weed, Bud, Etc.). It is commonly used in south eastern areas of Massachusetts. The term was recently being reused, as it can be heard around the streets of some southern massachusetts towns(Mansfield, Attleboro).
