No, I think he deserves it. He's been pissing a lot of people off with his frequent and often arbitrary reverts on the Pokemon pages. Pokemon D/P are out in Japan and many websites are reporting discoveries about pokemon numbers, types, movesets, locations, etc. Highway has been reverting all of those updates to Wikipedia, saying that the sources aren't credible because they're just "fansites," even though screenshots have been presented and the ROM data has been dumped. He's annoying, abrasive, and plays the role of administrator when he's not one. Wikipedian06 21:27, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Question
Sorry to bother you...but if you're not too busy, would you mind looking into the last few edits on my talk page? Musikfabrik left three messages on my talk page, and I can't for the life of me figure out what is wrong or whatever. I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Hello, Celestianpower. This is a quick message to remind you that all 5 finalists for the Esperanza User Page Award have been chosen. You now need to judge those 5 pages, awarding each one 1-10 points for attractiveness, usefulness, interesting-ness, general niceness and quality of subpages. Refer to the Scores section at the project page if you are unsure of how to score.
Once you have scored the 5 pages, email Petros471 using the specified format. As soon as all the scores have been tallied, a winner will be announced. Thanks. May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| ŗ 3 $ |-| ţ |-|) 11:18, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
NAME
I would just ike to let you know that I was using the name CelestianPower 3 years ago on Wikipedia and I would like it back so that people do not keep confusing me with you.
- I'm sorry, but I can't see any edits for that username: are you sure you registered it that way? I've been very active using this username over the last year and a half, so I think that if I changed my name to something else, and you took the name 'CelestianPower', the confusion would be much greater and people would think you were me, instead of the other way around. Thanks and regards, —Celestianpower háblame 10:18, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello Celestianpower. Quick question why do you consider a color the shade of green that was used as a background color unEsperanzan when it is discribed as one of the two colors of EA and used in all EA Templates? Really confused here Æon Insanity Now!EA! 16:18, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

PCP/S
hey, i wanted to let you know, i finally got around to adding all those guidlines updates we discussed here. If you could give them a once over and make any improvemtns, i'd appreciate it. (btw, the reason why i was seeming to kowtow back in that dicussion, was b/c i recently got into a tiff w/ HighwayCello - he hasn't responded to me since even though i made apologies and explanations for my anger so he could understand. I know he's been active enough to at least reply, it started with my edits on Quilava, you can check the talk page. It's just that he made me not really feel comfortable making major changes to the pokemon species articles, even though i tried going through the processes described in WP:DR.) ok whatever, thanx for your help with the style guide. -Zappernapper 17:50, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
html/spelling error, unable to delete
i am now aware that i should have been using the sandbox to experiment with editing a main entry. fortunately the damage is minor: a mis-spelled dead link that i am unable to delete! i'm aware you may not be the approriate contact, and this may be the incorrect format, but so far i have not located the appropriate path in which to rectify my error. the link is 'stolen heart caberet' and the location is cabaret under the sub-category 'see also'. i suppose it was reckless of me to experiment with the html prior to appreciating the possible pitfalls. apologies! I'd like to thank you Celestianpower for either supporting, opposing, commenting, nominating, reading, editing, promoting and/or anything else that you may have done for my successful request for adminship (I've broken the one thousand sysop barrier!); I'm thanking you for getting involved, and for this I am very grateful. I hope to be able to serve Wikipedia more effectively with my new tools and that we can continue to build our free encyclopedia, for knowledge is power, but only wisdom is liberty. Please do feel free to get in touch if you feel you can improve me in any way; I will be glad to listen to all comments. Again, thanks 8) —Xyrael / 12:09, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
hey a quick q...
someone gratefully added a safariball pic Image:Safari_Ball.gif to Poké Ball, his name is User_talk:Lengis. Unfortunately the pic he added doesn't have a source and i wanted to mention it to him before it got removed by the image-cleaning bot we have - however looking at his talk page, there seems to be no way to edit it. Can you think of a way I could contact him? I've had a hard time finding a safariball pic, and would hate to have to remove it just because he forgot to source an image, thnx -Zappernapper 04:52, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

I have noticed when you closed the above AfD, you did not remove the category template, "REMOVE THIS TEMPLATE WHEN CLOSING THIS AfD". By deleting this when closing it pulls the discussion out of the category. I have deleted it from this discussion, but if you could review any other closures you have done recently and remove the tag from them it would be greatly appreicated. This is a fairly recent change. The guideline is at WP:AFDC. I have been going through the listing in each of the categories CAT:AFD and removing the tag from pages that are closed and adding the approriate category code for those in the uncatagorised group. Thanks.--Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 14:54, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

The bad anagram solved
Wahoo! I was looking at the "Ruth Dercroump" anagram not liking the widely accepted "Torch Up Murder", which just didn't fit the overall pattern of the series. I wrote a program that went through a list of 88 thousand first and last names gathered from the census, eliminated all that could not be anagrams of "Ruth Dercroump" and then looked at the remaining list (only 541 names). I was getting ready to narrow it down based on the remaining names and letters left over when I saw "Murdoch" and the only Murdoch I know came to mind. So I checked it out, and sure enough Rupert Murdoch fit the anagram! JCoug 18:07, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

regarding the edit summary on Eevee, i'm not sure what you want me to change. Those templates were updated to conform with PCP/S and in fact were verbatim duplicates of what you replaced them with. leaving template specific messages on their respective talk pages would be more helpful, and allow me to make changes more quickly, along with having something to point people to, when they ask why something is written a certain way. additionally, you still haven't weighed in on the discussion at the PCP talk page, and i would really like to know what you think. I was hoping to get some more feedback prior to starting this (especially from you and AMIB) but i got antsy with waiting and those who even cared seemed to like the idea. again, please tell me specifically what should be changed on the templates, or be bold, i trust your judgement and find you to be amiable in the talk pages. thanks! -Zappernapper 20:10, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Article about Wikipedia Users
I am a freelance writer working on an article about the wide array of people who make Wikipedia their life, their passion, their pastime. Wikipedia “addicts” if you will. I’m looking for people just willing to tell their story of how they got sucked into the intellectual whirlwind that is Wikipedia; how you got started editing, how the obsession grew, and what you spend your time focusing on these days? Do you write articles from scratch? Is your main push toward one particular type of article? Do you patrol for typos and errors, or spend your time diligently fixing vandalism? Do you take part in the “social aspects” of Wikipedia; engaging in animated discussions or decorating your user page with all sorts of internet memes? Have you ever forced yourself to take a “Wikipedia break”? If so, what’s your 20/20 hindsight on the obsession? Basically I’m just trying to get an idea of what it’s like for various Wikipedia “addicts.” I am particularly interested in speaking to you about your role as an adminstrator as well as your thoughts on Esperanza and the Wikipedia Kindness Campaign. Re. "More able users"
By "more", I meant quantity, not quality. Moreover, a coordinator isn't someone who's got a lot of knowledge, it's someone who coordinates and directs the Project. Over the past few weeks, the role of this director has been fading away, and the most of the Project's members are taking an equal share in running it. As such, I saw fit to remove the coordination section completely. No offence intended to Highway's fanatical dedication to Pokémon-related articles. User Page Award participants
I'm building a page on user page design. I was particularly dismayed when I went to Esperanza's User Page Award competition to gather examples of excellent user page design, only to find that the entire program had been deleted! What a shame; that was a valuable program. Many of the skills and wikicode used on those pages may provide solutions to problems encountered in the encyclopedia's various namespaces, including the article namespace itself. User page design techniques may be particularly useful for building better portals, and I studied user pages in order to format the Wikipedia:Department directory. I am contacting you in the hopes that you, or somebody you can refer me to, can provide me with the user names of all the judges, nominees, and winners of every round of that competition. Most of those users have fantastic user pages, and I'd like to present them as examples, as well as provide each with a (categorized) barnstar so that other users have the benefit of browsing the most interesting user page designs without having to inspect 100,000 accounts to find them. I look forward to your reply. The Transhumanist 22:42, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ditto. This was one of my favorite Esperanza projects. I really liked your essay on the spirit of Esperanza, btw; I don't understand why efforts to be sociable inspire outrage in others. Interview for Wikipedia Weekly?
Hi!
You may or may not be aware of the Wikipedia Weekly podcast, which is now approaching its eighth weekly episode, on which I'm a regular presenter. This episode, we'd like to cover the Esperanza dispute now that the dust has had time to settle, and would very much like for you to come on the show to talk to us about it. We'll also be inviting a few other representatives of Esperanza, and User:Robth to provide an opposing view.
All that would be required are a microphone, a reasonably fast internet connection, and a free copy of Skype. We'll likely be recording at around 1500 UTC on Saturday, although feel free to suggest an alternative time if this wouldn't suit you. You can also join us in #wikipediaweekly on FreeNode prior to the podcast. Thanks for your time, and I hope you can join us on the weekend. :)
Oh, and perhaps we can spend a few minutes discussing your Bulbasaur FA -- that'd probably be a good way to round out the episode. :) Daveydweeb (chat/review!) 00:51, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Title Paragraph
Hi, I would like to write up a new article as wikipedia:titleparagraphs. I'd appreciate your assistance. Title paragraphs often called 'opening' paragraphs in the literary world are very important to seize readers’ attention and encourage them to read on. Title paragraphcs need to be written in a surmising style in as few concise but detailed sentences as possible.
Notice the difference between this article and this one. A remarkable difference. Are you going to read the a whole title paragraph like that for every article you look up? Long title paragraphs deter users who are simply surfing or frantically looking for the low down of a specific subject at handm, they are also a pleasure for the serious researcher.
Unfortunately this is not a guideline. I think editors should be advised about this point and I would feel privileged to start the article. Please let me know how I could go about it. Thanks

Space Elevator Vandalizing
Hey there. You should check out the bottom of the Space Elevator page. There are some very inappropriate images there, and I'm not sure how to remove them. I'm very interested in the concept, and they're hiding the external links. I was wondering if you could fix this.
Thanks,

Assist a new user?
Hey there. I have a small problem, and as you were on the list of administrators (read: people pretty much guaranteed to know what they're talking about and be able to deal with it) and had a little note next to your name saying you were willing to help, I thought I'd drop you a line.
Put simply, User:Armond is likely me. That's my handle for many other places - see Guildwiki:User:Armond for one such place. Maethon is my second handle, usually used when I can't get Armond. I was told when making an account that Armond was taken, and so made this account. After I did so, however, it occurred to me that I may have already made Armond and forgotten the password (I tried two or three common passwords there, and none of them work). I couldn't find a User:Armond page, a talk page, or any contribs from that user. Again, it looks like I may have made that account, put in a random password, and forgotten said password. The idea of recovering said password didn't occur to me until after I made this account. I looked around for a while, but couldn't find anything under the "help" section that would email me a password.
So, can you help me out by directing me to this password recovery place? And if that other account is indeed me, can you help me out by deleting this account (or directing me to someone who could)? Thanks much in advance. -- Maethon (talk) 05:06, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Untagged image
An image you uploaded, Image:Emyvale.gif, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 15:44, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

I recently found that the Jesus article on Wikipedia is the first item that comes up when you search for "Jesus" on the world’s most widely used search engine, Google.
Please edit the Jesus article to make it an accurate and excellent representation of Him.
The Jesus article may be a person’s first impression of Jesus. It would be nice if their first impression was from a Christian or the Bible, but for so many in these new days it probably comes from the Internet. Watch the Jesus page to keep it focused on Him. Thanks a lot.
Also, watch out to follow Wikipedia's Policies and guidelines. It is especially hard for the Three-revert rule and the Neutral point of view policy to be followed because of the nature of the article, but please follow these policies along with citing sources so that the article does not get locked from editing and can't be improved further. Thanks again. Scifiintel 17:28, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

selective hit counter for water and sanitation country notes
Celestianpower, I have been working very hard with a few colleagues to create the Category:Water supply and sanitation by country pages in order to increase the Wiki knowledge base relating to the water and sanitation sector in Latin America. Although many professionals in the sector find the effort interesting, they are somewhat hesitant to invest their time because we can not tell them how many people actually access our pages. That is why a hit counter, even if turned on for a certain time period, would be vital in our efforts to increase the contributions to, and knowledge base of, our pages as well as to future projects.
Although I understand that Wikipedia turns off hit counters by default as to no slow down the servers, I have heard that some users are able to do so by making changes to the "monobook.php or add it to the CSS stylesheet". Is this true and if so how would this be possible?
Ideally our efforts spur the interests of others to expand the scope of the water and sanitation country notes into other regions as well as other sectors (i.e. environment, social, infrastructure) relating to sustainable development. Airezulian 19:14, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Celestianpower, thank you for your kind response. Regards, Airezulian 19:50, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello Celestianpower, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Weird Al Yankovic - Polka Party!.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Celestianpower/Full archive. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. GAC backlog elimination drive
This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 23:59, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Actually, that article doesn't have enough content at all. After you remove the generic openings, game guide information, and all of the "Role" fluff (leaving like two paragraphs), you have a list entry waiting. And being a former FA doesn't matter much either, if you're banking on that. They're still being merged. TTN 12:15, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Each section can easily be trimmed way down, but still retain its function. If that can be done, the information is just fluff. You're looking at an old discussion. At this point, only ones that can have enough real world information (none of the stuff in that article counts towards it) need articles. The only definite at this point is Pikachu, and some like Mewtwo and Deoxys are on hold pending a search for this information. TTN 12:39, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- It's spread out all over Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Pokémon, but you can mainly see it in "When was it decided to merge the articles by list instead of evolutionary line?" and "AND WHY SHOULD WE MOVE MEW?" I only gave FICT to stress WP:WAF (they're linked right next to each other). It'll explain what is necessary. TTN 13:08, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:07, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
So What's The Dispute?
Are we going to demerge and keep the lists? I was following what I believed to be the consense of the pokemon project but I'm now all confused . . . (and isn't your message at the top of your page missing a comma)? -WarthogDemon 22:03, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- I agree some may merit their own articles too. I would say possibly starter and legendaries but that could just be my non-professional pokefan inside of me talking there. I too support the mergings, the only real concern I have about individual articles is that we'd probably get a ton of: "Bulbasaur has his own article, so why not Sableye?" arguments. Anyways I was just curious. I am interested and glad to be a part of the project; I just wanted to make sure I avoid being caught in any sort of edit war here. -WarthogDemon 22:52, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Ormand Cup
As an inclusionist wikipedian, would you be interested in participating in the deletion discussion for the Ormand Cup article?

Thank you for your input on that. Can you just protect Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jessica Darlin so no furthur comments can be made at it? — Moe ε 22:18, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

WP:RFD
Just to let you know that, having found The House of Blessed Mary the Virgin in Oxford commonly called Oriel College, of the Foundation of Edward the Second of famous memory, sometime King of England (a redirect to Oriel College, Oxford that you created), I listed it at WP:RFD as an unnecessary redirect - though you get full marks for leaving no stone unturned! Wikiproject General Audience
WikiProject General Audience needs more attention and so I have posted a request on the WikiProject Council talk page for assistance. Put quite simply, many of the articles on logic are completely unintelligible even to those of us who purport to have a college education. 68.49.208.76 06:07, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Hello friend!
Hello there Sir! It looks like you're in and out of Wikipedia pretty infrequently, but I just thought I'd pop by and say I hope all is going well. -- Natalya 21:02, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ay, cool! Glad to see you out and about. No promises on Skype - life is busy (as usual, of course!), but if I ever do get on I'll look for you. How have things around the 'pedia been going for you? -- Natalya 21:30, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's definitly understandable. Not only was Esperanza deleted, but the whole fiasco was so negative and opposed to the whole purpose of Esperanza. It's too bad that it had to cause us to lose good editors; you and many others. Still, glad to see that you're using the encyclopedia still! I tried to stay on editing, but with all the negativity it was nice to get away from it for a bit. It's nice to wait and come back and feel refreshed, ready to edit in a different light. Not to say that that happens to everyone or even most people who leave, but I think for me it will be nice to be back.
- Ah, Esperanza. It's nice to see you and Tito around; the council had happy memories for me. Even when Esperanza was going downhill and it was harder and harder to get the message of Esperanza to all of its members, I feel like on the council we still had the idea - we may not have been very good at getting it out (seeing as Esperanza got deleted and all ;), but we knew that it was a good idea at its core. So it goes. I laugh at myself as I think that back in the day I wouldn't dare type something like that, for fear that it would be used against me, Esperanza, or who know's what for some "evil" purpose, but now it doesn't even matter. Unless "they" use my laughing of the possibility of such against me for some future crisis... well, I'll deal with that then, and it will probably involve laughter on my part.
- That's just me babbling along - hopefully I'll see you around here sometimes, even if you're just perusing! -- Natalya 21:50, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- I still think that's a true motto. Ah well, the past is the past. At least there are fond memories. Good luck with the German! I hope all your studies are go well. -- Natalya 22:00, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Apparently! That is a lot of intense work too - wow! I wish you the best of luck with it. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Natalya (talk • contribs) 16:12, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi
Long tome no see! How are you today? -- Cat chi? 18:47, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the message...
...Celestianpower. I'm guessing that as I saw someone from Planet Thrupp yesterday who's into choral singing - your welcome message was no co-incidence! Cheers m'dear. Are you one of the guardians of Wiki-goodness? Parsleysoup 18:52, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi Celestianpower!
Hi Celestianpower! Gosh, long time since I've seen you. I'm doing just fine. I have a few more hats than I did way back. I'm at university studying Computer Science and Mathematics, and living away from home. So much has changed in a year or so. How are you nowadays? I hope you're back to active editing :-) --Deskana (talk) 19:04, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
