Note: I would like the Arbcom to review this. It is up to them to decide my fate.

From the BU List:

EddieSegoura: Editing career was spent almost entirely on using Wikipedia to promote the existence of a neologism. He engaged in massive disruption of the original AfD with votes from sockpuppets he created (confirmed, suspected), as well as attempts to change votes. His numerous attempts to recreate the article finally exhausted the community's patience (version 1, version 2). -- By Blueboy96 on September 26, 2007

An appeal to the community and a plea for forgiveness

Yes, this is EddieSegoura. I know that many of you editors hate me and don't want me to edit on this site. However, I felt it was time that I state my case on the whole situation. I've tried to reach the Arbcom by email but they have yet to respond. Therefore, I am going to post my opinion here and hopefully we can work something out.

Let's start with why I am in this prediciment. From what I understand, this ban occured because of:

  1. The "E" word: A dispute as to whether a certain word exists and as to whether it possible to create new terms. New terms like "blog" for the word "journal" were created. I admit my repeated attempted went overboard. But, I have long given up on trying to post the word here. So I think we should all put this behind us. I apologize for the damage this caused, I wasn't trying to sabotage wikipedia. I think we should put this dispute to rest and move on. I will make no further attempts to post the "E" word here.
  2. Excessive arguing: My inability to get along with two users (I will not disclose them here). I fully and sincerely regret this and I am sorry for the trouble I caused you. I hope you can accpet my apology. I forgive you for the trouble you have caused me. It's been many months now and I think we can start fresh. 2008 is coming and I think we can put the 2006 troubles behind us.
  3. Excessive usernames, the number of accounts I created exceeded the number that the Wikimedia Foundation allows. When I first came here, I thought you can have more than one screen name, like on AOL. It turns out that this is not the case.
