"Bobby Rae" is the 215th episode of the FOX animated television series King of the Hill.
Plot
To impress a girl, Bobby protests against soda machines in the school. However, since the teachers have been using the drink machine money to pay for their "retreat", they decide to fight back. Finally when the vending machines are removed from the school tickers and put in with advertisements for energy bars Olivia (Mo Collins) stirs Bobby and he makes his way into the teachers lounge. When Principal Moss refuses to remove the tickers Bobby calls for a walk out. Meanwhile in the alley Hank says something that Dale finds brilliant and decides to record his friends' witty quotes and put them all in a book. To their dismay it becomes harder when they try to think of things to say.
Trivia
- The episode title is an allusion to the 1979 Sally Field movie Norma Rae, which is about a woman who gets involved in union activities.
- Olivia is modeled off of Lucy from Across the Universe, wearing the same clothes and hair as she and Bobby walk down the road protesting.
