Launcelot Goody

Archbishop Lancelot John Goody (1908 - 1992) was Archbishop Emeritus of Perth.

Born on 5 June 1908 in London, he was ordained a priest by Archbishop Giuseppe Palica on 20 December 1930 in Perth, aged 22.

On 2 August 1951 he was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Perth, as well as Titular Bishop of Abydus. Three months later he was ordained Titular Bishop of Abydus.

On 12 November 1954, aged 46, he was appointed Roman Catholic Bishop of Bunbury, Australia. On 18 October 1968, aged 60, he was appointed Archbishop of Perth, Australia. He retired on 26 October 1983

On 13 May 1992, he died, aged 83. He had been a priest for 61 years and a bishop for 40 years.
