Paul Smith was an artist who specialized in creating works of art solely with the typewriter. In some ways he may be considered the father of ASCII art.
He suffered from spastic cerebral palsy and was unable to work or attend school. He took up typewriter art in his teenage years.
He stopped creating typewriter art in 2004 due to cataracts.
