The Nitro Girls were a dance team in World Championship Wrestling that danced during commercials on WCW Monday Nitro to entertain the fans.

History

The Nitro Girls were formed in 1997 by Kimberly Page at Eric Bischoff's request. They are pretty much a take off of the RAW Girls (models in bikinis who walked around inside the ring holding up a sign that usually said something like: "I like it RAW", back in 1993). They were a dance team that danced during commercials on WCW Monday Nitro to entertain the fans. Some of their dance routines made it onto the television show too. The Nitro Girls would also make appearances at some WCW promotional events. They lasted until late 2000, when they were taken off television because so many of their members were being used in storylines with the wrestlers.
