Midwest Christian Outreach
Midwest Christian Outreach, Inc (MCOI), is a very small, non-denominational, evangelical fringe organization with branches in Spring Hill, Fl; Wayne, OH; Lohrville, IA; Scranton, KS; Cape Coral, FL; and Cortez, CO., that claims to "intelligently present and compassionately defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ, especially to those who consciously reject it due to false beliefs, and to challenge and equip believing Christians to do the same". It is primarily known for its efforts to expose groups that it perceives as cultic in nature based on their world view of fundamentalist Christianity. They believe, contrary to many scholars, the bible is infallible. They hold to the beliefs that Christianity is the only way and that every other religion is misguided or clouded by a delusion. MCOI is headed by L.L.(Don) Veinot, Jr., who acts as president. His wife and 4 others serve as board members of the organization. There is also an Advisory Board composed of apologists such as Dr. Norman Geisler, Dr. Ron Rhodes, as well as other ministry leaders (Jhan Moskowitz from Jews for Jesus), pastors and lay people. Since 1995, MCOI has produced a self-published journal which is mailed out 3-4 times a year to a small audience of Christians. It is also available online in Adobe PDF format called the Midwest Christian Outreach Journal. The journal consists of three or four articles each issue, with either Don Veinot or his wife writing at least one article each time, and a small group of other people that are frequent contributors.[1]
Midwest Christian Outreach is based in Wonder Lake, Illinois.
