Johnny Edward (sometimes known as 'John Edward') is probably best-known as the creator and voice of fictional robot TV character Metal Mickey.

In 1965 Johhny (as Johnny Flux) he was a member of The Manish Boys, playing guitar alongside David Bowie (then known as David Jones) on a cover of the R&B number I Pity the Fool. He went on to become a radio DJ, first with Radio City and then Radio London.

Along with his wife Sue he also wrote the Renée_and_Renato song Save Your Love, which topped the British music charts in 1982.
