One of three broad styles of Role-Playing Games (RPG's).

Simulationist Gaming uses a rule system that attempts to emulate a particular style of story, or genre. They can attempt to model "reality" (such as the weapon damage in the Cyberpunk RPG- based on FBI Statistics), or encourage behavior of the characters (such as a bonus to actions for heroic behavior in Superhero Games).

The other two broad styles are Narrative & Gamist.

Yang-Yin 13 is an example of a Simulationist Game.
