C.I.D. is an Indian Television serial aired on Sony Entertainment Television about a team of detectives belonging to the Crime Investigation Division of Mumbai Police. It stars, among other people, noted Film, Television and stage actor Shivaji Saatam. CID is regarded as the longest running crime investigation TV series in India.
Episodes
In each episode, C.I.D. starts with the victim or the murderer committing the crime. While the crime is being committed, C.I.D. is usually having fun in the bureo, such as playing chess, or talking about Dhoni. The C.I.D. team goes to the crime scene, and starts searching the setting of crime. They always believe in one statement:
Every thief always leaves something behind.
They search the setting until they find something, even the smallest thing, such as a strand of hair. The body, if it is a murder case, is taken to the forinsic lab, where Dr. Salunke and his assistant study the body. Dr. Salunke tells interesting thing on how the person may have died. He may have been stabbed by a knife, but he may be killed by poison. The C.I.D. team introgates all the witnesses, and people who were on the crime scene. After a lot of hard work, and going though troubles, the C.I.D. team solves the case, catching the prime thief.
Conflict of Dr. Salunke and ACP Praduman
Dr. Salunke and ACP Praduman have always had a conflict between them. Dr. Salunke was the very first forensic scientist in the program. Dr. Salunke and ACP Praduman had never liked each other. After some years, Dr. Salunke resigned. But after many years of absence, Dr. Salunke suddenly arrived. The first thing he did after he came back was given a party. He gave a party, inviting all the C.I.D. team members, and especially ACP Praduman. The party was for a very special reason, he had grown hair. He kept the party because he wanted to show off to ACP Praduman that he had grown hair, while he was still bald. It is also belevied that ACP Praduman has had a conflict with every female forensic scientist.
Special Cases
The Case of Abhijeet's memory loss
The case of Abhijeet's memory loss was one of the very first cases. In this case, they show that Abhijeet loses his memory, due to a car accident. The case turned out to be a crime, not an accident. Abhijeet Lost his momory, and even refused to recognize his mother. This case is often referred to in the show.
