The Northern Virginia Majestics are a professional women's soccer team associated with the W-League part of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) and based in Prince William County, Virginia. This team has features four members of the Ghanaian Women's National Team which had their first ever victory in the initial round of the Women's World Cup in 2003. After an impressive showing in a 1-0 loss to China, Ghana stopped Australia's hopes of advancing in a 2-1 historic upset. Majestics Elizabeth Baidu, Adjoa Bayor, Basilea Amoah-Tetteh, and Alberta Sackey all contributed significantly to Ghana's performance.
