"Part of Your World" is a song written and composed by the songwriting due of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. It was originally featured in the 1989 Disney film The Little Mermaid, and will also be featured in the upcoming musical adaptation of the film. In the film, this song is sung by the mermaid Ariel, while in a cavern which holds most of her treasures, most of which are human things. It reveals how Ariel longs for being part of the human's world, and how she is fed up with being a mermaid and living under the sea.

The movie version of the song was performed by Jodi Benson; other Disney renditions of the song include one by Miley Cyrus on DisneyMania 5. The song has also been performed by Jessica Simpson and Skye Sweetnam. The pirate-themed rock band Captain Bogg and Salty also recorded a hard rock version of the song in 2006, facetiously claiming it to be a "mermaid lullaby" which was used to lure hapless sailors to their deaths.

A Japanese language version of the song was recorded by Mayumi Suzuki.

It has been noted that the melody of the chorus is similar to that of "Somewhere That's Green", also composed by Menken and Ashman, which was featured in the musical Little Shop of Horrors and the 1986 film of the same name).[citation needed] Olivia Newton-John produced her own rendition of the song
