Munkedal is a Municipality in Västra Götaland County, in western Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 637.4 km². Of the total population of 10532, 5369 are male, and 5163 are female. The population density of the community is 17 inhabitants per km². In Munkedal is 8 parish, inhabitant (1963)
