Andrew O'Connor (born 1978) is an Australian novelist.

Born in Warragul, Victoria. He studied Arts at Melbourne University before travelling and working in central and northern Australia. While living in Japan, he wrote his first novel, Tuvalu which won The Australian/Vogel Literary Award and Commonwealth Writers' Prize (South East Asia and Pacific Region, Best First Book). Tuvalu has since been longlisted for The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 2008. He taught at Burntwood Secondary School, London for a period of 5-6 months during 2006 and presently lives in Vancouver, Canada.
