RM690 million Serdang Hospital in Selangor

Serdang Hospital is a government-funded multi-specialty hospital in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. This hospital is located near Putrajaya, the Malaysian federal government administrative centre.

Serdang Hospital, which commenced operation on December 15, 2005, is designated as the reference center for cardiology, cardiothoracic, urology and nephrology surgery. The hospital will provide affordable, quality treatment for heart patients from the lower income group. The center will cooperate with the Selayang Hospital, which specializes in renal care and liver transplants.

The 620-bed Serdang Hospital, which cost RM300 million or U.S.$79 million, is one of the electronic hospital networks planned by the Malaysian Government to provide better health care services.

The hospital also serves as a teaching hospital for medical students from the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
