2K Boston/2K Australia (previously known as Irrational Games) is a video game developer founded in 1997 by three former employees of Looking Glass Studios: Ken Levine, Jonathan Chey, and Robert Fermier as Irrational Games. On January 9, 2006, Take-Two Interactive announced that they had purchased Irrational, and would publish their games under the 2K Games label.

2K Boston/2K Australia has two studios, one in Quincy, USA just outside Boston and the other in Canberra, Australia. It has also spawned a new studio located in California called 2K Marin. It has been speculated that 2K Marin is developing a sequal to BioShock, but as of yet this is only a rumor and 2K games has kept quit about this speculation.
