Please stop. If you continue spamming, as you did in Judas Priest, you will be blocked from editing. --Nlu (talk) 06:18, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. —— Eagle (ask me for help) 05:03, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Hold on...
...a second.
OK
It doesn't bother me that you blocked this IP address. I work for a big company, I know that I share this IP (and ...43) with a lot of other people. I have a username I can log in with.
BUT HERE'S THE THING: I tried to make a minor edit-- in the SANDBOX no less-- while not logged in, and I received the message "Your account or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by Eagle 101 for the following reason (see our blocking policy): spamming\ Your IP address is 163.192.21.44."
OK, I've been blocked. No big. So I go to check out what changes my IP address has made that got us blocked...
Only I can't. There is no way to check it. Here's the path I had to take to get here:
- Wander around looking for a way to accomplish this. Not having any luck.
- Finally ended up on the page Wikipedia:Very Frequently Asked Questions
- In the section "Why have I been blocked?" there appears the sentence "...put the text { {unblock|reason} } tag on your talk page..."
- Clicking on that brought me to this page. But I still couldn't see my revision history. So I had to...
- Edit this page, and then...
- ...look at the history for this page, and then...
- ...click on my IP and that finally brought me to the listing of changes that had been made by this IP address.
Seriously, guys, you've GOT to come up with a simpler system!

- Sorry this was so difficult for you. For future reference even as an IP, once you're on your talk page (which can be far too difficult to get to) you can get to the user history from the "user contributions" link in the toolbox to the left just under the search box. I know that isn't the main point of your post, just thought it might be useful information for the future. -- Siobhan Hansa 22:25, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Please stop
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to WGN-TV. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.
Please stop assuming ownership of articles such as WGN-TV. Doing so may lead to disruptive behavior such as edit wars and is a violation of policy, which may lead to a block from editing.
The next time this article is changed back to a grammatically-incorrect version, I will seek administrator assistance. I don't care about where, or to whom, this IP address belongs. Rollosmokes 08:20, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

I wonder what your boss at the Tribune thinks about you vandalizing Wikipedia articles on company time? If you vandalize again, like you did to Steve Dahl, we're going to find out. The Parsnip! 18:01, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- 300+ users have this IP? Are you that naive to think that your IT department can't trace it back to a single user? In your own words: "LOLZ". Jauerback 18:37, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

163.192.21.44 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
First, I'm not asking to unblock the IP, but would like to address the comment made earlier about the number of users vs specific IP addresses, it's not 300 users per, it's actually much higher. Lastly, a request sent to TIS (where I work) from a website inquiring about an IP will only see the recycle bin as we don't have the time, or desire to do someone else's work. That's not meant to be rude, but it's more factual than the arrogant bullying seen above in comments such as "We'll see how your boss feels about it." That individuals boss won't feel anything about it because it's not our job to pass along such emails, nor are we about to get DS involved to track down said behavior that an outside source views as inflamatory. I'm sorry that we have some childish employees that are editing articles in such a manner, but I just wanted to set the facts straight about this.
Decline reason:
Thanks for the notice. If the vandalism gets too concerning, we might have to block all editing from your network range (logged and anonymous users). -- lucasbfr talk 20:54, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Maybe the newspaper you work for likes to end articles with myspace links that are supposedly those of the subject of the article. Wikipedia does not. Please see Wikipedia:External_links#Links_normally_to_be_avoided #11. - Mdsummermsw (talk) 18:29, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Bizzy Bone, are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Nancy Reagan edits
Thank you for your interest in former First Lady Nancy Reagan, however the material you appear to consistently re-add about Mrs. Reagan being pregnant before marriage is uncited controversial material that is potentially libelous without hard proof, something that does not exist. Saying it was "found in Mrs. Reagan's autobiography" isn't going to cut it either. The article is one of only 1500 articles known as featured articles; it is one of the best on Wikipedia and uncited information such as that cannot be readded. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
